Too much pink in October?

A USA Today poll finds that, while nearly everyone supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a third of those surveyed think it steals too much of the spotlight from other maladies like melanoma and is overly commercialized.

Big Pharma’s newest battleground: Japan. Although much of the pharma industry’s growth talk centers around emerging markets like China and India, companies like Lilly, Merck, Pfizer and Novartis are also ratcheting up their efforts in the world’s second largest drugs market, the WSJ reports.

Twitter, now a behavioral science research tool. Guess what researchers studying Twitter messages discovered? People are more positive when they’re not working and the sun is out, the NY Times says, summing up the study by Cornell University sociologists in the journal Science.
